Monthly Round-up – October 2022

Welcome to the October round up of all that’s good in the NDC world of business, you can watch the video below. 

I enjoyed attending the Accelerate North Somerset conference where current and future plans for the local area were set out – there’s lots of interesting things going on! It was also keynoted by the amazing Brad Burton who never fails to get my creative and motivational juices flowing; an inspiration for those business owners in the room for sure.

I did four speaking sessions at Mark Wickersham’s Value 2022 conference in the first week of October; a global three-day conference geared at supporting accountants and bookkeepers across the globe with pricing and marketing support. Those sessions included a couple of Q&A panels with other experts, an interview, plus my own hour-long Q&A session centering on my social media marketing journey. Very daunting for me but absolutely amazing to be a part of.

We enjoyed our invitation to Xero HQ, the fantastic finance software giants based in Milton Keynes. Alongside a tour of the offices and a yummy lunch, they opened our eyes to so much more and we look forward to working with them in the very near future with some interesting initiatives – they have a great attitude to accountants of all sizes.

And finally I finalised the acquisition of an accountancy firm based in Bournemouth, our very first acquisition(!), obtaining approximately 30 more clients for me and the team. I’m very much looking forward to getting to know everyone and we’ve already got calls and visits lined up for the coming weeks; we look forward to working with you all!
