April 2022

Despite suffering the tail ends of the dreaded C-virus, this month was hugely exciting for many different reasons… Here’s the monthly round-up for April 2022 🤘🏻

New clients

As was the case for the previous two 30-day video challenges that I’ve completed, the following month after filming in March led to record levels for new business! Without listing everyone that joined our family this month, I can say that we had some very diverse clients ranging from construction, to digital marketing, to web development and a couple of recruitment businesses as well (carving out a nice niche here). The majority of these businesses are not familiar with accountancy software, nor how our authorities work in this digital age – and a couple of them are brand new LTD companies – so we’re delivering a lot of educational consultancy in the early stages to get them up to speed 💪🏻

Early Adopters Hub

Over the last several months, I have been very humbled to have been invited into the Early Adopters Hub. This is a special invite-only organisation that brings together “an exclusive community of the most forward-thinking, tech-savvy and passionate accountants in the world” (words from their website, not mine!)  with global start-ups who are looking to break into the accountancy industry.

There have been several projects that I have been involved with recently ranging from tax software, to an accounts payable/payments platform and also a content marketing provider, where we have video calls with the founders of these businesses to ascertain their hopes and goals and to address how this could/would work within the accountancy industry – exciting stuff! 😁

Offsite visits

A huge 15 offsite visits were completed in April – that’s pretty much four per working week! 🤯

Lots of activity with helping new clients onboard in an effective and efficient manner and a huge amount of new enquiries following the aforementioned 30-day video challenge including a nightclub, hair salon and construction business.

I also met a couple of clients for the first time EVER (despite working with them for over a year…) and attended the Brighter Futures Expo in conjunction with Weston College. You can see a few photos of my expeditions below!

B1G1 – recognition of new clients

I’ve got A LOT of donations to catch up for recognising new clients into the NDC family…..!

I managed to donate to a lot of incredibly worthwhile causes throughout April as a result of obtaining new clients and also new members into my Facebook group (www.facebook.com/groups/makingfinancefun) and you can see a summary of the sorts of projects we’ve supported below:

  • Gave 100 food parcels to people in need in South Africa
  • Donated three year’s worth of grain seeds to nourish children in Malawai
  • Provided 90 meals to nursery school children in Ethiopa
  • Provided five year’s worth of safe drinking water to families in Cambodia

If you’d like a more detailed look into what we’ve supported since NDC was formed, then please navigate to the “Our Causes” section of our website 🙏🏻👍🏻
