Here’s my sunny August round up in video form – scroll to the bottom! First time for the blog…

New Clients

We’ve been a little quieter than usual this month with new clients coming into the business, however, we have been completing some exciting new projects with some of our existing clients, especially those clients within the recruitment sector.

New Employee

I’m very happy and proud to announce that Michelle has joined the NDC family! Michelle brings a wealth of talent to the team, is fully AAT qualified and has oodles of experience in administration and bookkeeping. She’s going to bring a different dynamic to the office that’s for sure, although she might not know what she’s let herself in for…..!

Fishing trip

A client invited me to do something I had never done before and I certainly felt like a fish out of… I won’t finish that dad joke…. However, I thoroughly enjoyed my day of fishing out in the Bristol Channel and we all managed to catch In excess of 50 fish between us including conger eels, blonde rays and the catch of the day weighing in at 19lb…. a smooth hound! Which I caught 🙂 The fishing trip was through Chris Buxton at Channel Explorer Charters and it was a “definitely would do again!” experience.

Festivals

I attended ArcTanGent festival this month which is a progressive/alternative heavy metal festival and is only 30 minutes from home. I also managed to physically meet a group of people whom I’ve only spoken to online before – some for as long as eight years! I would love to sign this festival as a client to compliment my other metal festival client (UK Tech-Fest), so fingers crossed and watch this space…

Coaching

One of the things that I have been given the opportunity to do over the last year (and what I really love) is to coach accountants and bookkeeper’s on pricing, marketing and business advisory strategies and to help them to improve. This month saw me coach a few sessions to people based all around the world and enables me (and challenges me!) to do something a little different to the day to day small business accounts.
